Dr. Curtis Swain, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Dr. Curtis Swain is a devoted physical therapist who brings a passion for movement, healing, and meaningful patient connection to every session. Originally from Monroe, CT, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from James Madison University and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marist University. During his schooling, Curtis gained valuable experiences through clinical rotations and volunteering opportunities across Montana, Utah, Colorado, Virginia, New York, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. These experiences helped shape his outlook on health and wellness, his approach, and his emphasis on assisting patients in returning to activities they once thought unattainable.

A former athlete, Curtis has competed in a wide range of sports, including captaining his collegiate handball team and high school football team, as well as competing in track and field, baseball, and basketball. His interest in physical therapy began after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder, which sparked a deep appreciation for the body’s ability to adapt and heal. This perspective continues to influence how he connects with and motivates his patients today.

Clinically, Curtis is passionate about orthopedics, sport-related injuries, return-to-sport testing, and return to daily activities following surgical intervention. His goal is to help patients build strength, confidence, and independence so they can return to the activities that matter most to them.
“There’s nothing better than watching someone realize they’re capable of more than they thought.”

Outside the clinic, Curtis enjoys playing and watching sports, cooking, taking roadtrips, learning fun facts, and values spending time with friends and family.
