Testing knee stability

Dr. Samuel Hopkins, PT, DPT, MBA, OCS, FDN

- Physical Therapist

Samuel has always been interested in football and grew up watching games on television. In high school he started playing football, and continued to play at Geneva College in PA. During Samuel’s third year in college, he injured his knee requiring surgery and physical therapy. Although he missed the season, Samuel gained an interest in physical therapy by seeing how his knee improved with various exercises. It was at that point he decided to pursue a career in physical therapy.

Samuel attended Stony Brook University in NY. He graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011, and has worked in various settings including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home-care, and outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. Samuel currently holds the following certifications: Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), dry needling, and has taken courses in a variety of manual techniques (mobilizations, manipulations, soft tissue mobilization). He is also certified in Vestibular and TMJ treatments. In his personal life Sam enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, baking, reading comic books, and watching his New York Giants.
